It’s odd. You’d think that Dexter would never touch a real product or use a real service on the show, because there are few companies that would take kindly to being a psychopathic killer’s “____ of choice”. For example, here is Dex’s favorite (imaginary) beer brand, Jekyll Island:
However, you can clearly see Dex using his Macbook Pro in almost every episode – apple-shaped LED blazing in the darkness. Also, there are plenty of close up shots of his Ford Escape. So why not have him punch searches into Google and chug Heineken?

Also, in the early episodes of season 4, he’s drinking Red Bull because of stresses with his family, work and butcher life.
